It gives me great pleasure, as Principal of St.Mary’s NS, to welcome you to our school website. This website has been prepared in the hope that it will become a valuable source of school news and timely information for parents, pupils and visitors to the site.
We at St.Mary’s NS are very proud of the school with its rich tradition of teaching and learning, together with sport, music and other extra curricular activities. Along with the Board of Management, we take great pride in providing a safe and secure learning environment for all children of varying abilities and needs.
Our entire staff is committed to establishing and maintaining a school environment that allows our pupils to grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Our website will be updated regularly to provide visitors to it with updated notices and bulletins and other news on a variety of school activities.
In St.Mary’s N.S we have a:
- A dedicated and committed teaching staff.
- A modern, well-equipped primary school.
- Spacious classrooms which are all equipped with internet access and interactive whiteboards.
- A Healthy Eating Policy underpinned by our recently acquired Healthy Schools Status From the HSE.
- Two spacious playgrounds, for Junior and Senior children in the school with basketball court, football goals and playground markings for games.
- A rental book scheme which keeps the cost of textbooks to a minimum for all children.
- An active and dedicated Parent’s Association.
- A Green Schools Commitee and ongoing work in the Green Schools programme.
- An Active School Commitee who work diligently to maintain our active school status.
